Introductory Economics

The Finance: Introductory Economics Academy teaches the core principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Participants will explore key concepts like market dynamics, supply and demand, and the impact of government policies on the economy. This program emphasizes hands-on learning, encouraging students to analyze real-world data, interpret trends, and evaluate the effects of economic decisions. Through case studies and interactive projects, students will develop critical thinking skills and learn how to apply economic reasoning to everyday issues. Students will learn about pioneer economic theorists and practical implementation within their lives. Additionally, the program will equip students with the tools to make informed decisions.

What you'll learn:

Introduction to Finance

The Finance: Introduction to Finance Academy will teach students the fundamentals of finance, providing strong foundations in topics such as financial markets, corporate finance, and risk management. Students will step into the world of finance, learning how to explore central concepts like interest rates, the time value of money, and the role of financial institutions. By attending this Academy, students will develop the skills to analyze financial statements and assess the performance of different asset classes. Additionally, students will gain experience with portfolio management and financial modeling, preparing them for future roles in the finance industry.   • Understanding different asset classes such as stocks, bonds, and alternative investments.

Program Eligibility, Tuition, & Dates

Our On-Campus Academies run for one week (M-F) during the summer months. They are open to high school students in grades 9-12. Tuition is $1,800, with early bird discounts and generous need-based financial aid available.
