FAQs
What is included with housing?
Where will students stay?
All students across all programs for the given week will be living in one of Harvard's 12 undergraduate Houses. All of these historic Houses are a five minute walk from where classes will take place.
Students will be living in a mix of dorm options; some will be suite-style, while others could be hallway singles. Rooming requests and assignments will take place after the housing deadline of April 1.
Are meals included?
Yes, all meals will be included with housing. Lunch will be served during the day, while breakfast and dinner will be available in one of the House dining halls. Students are generally encouraged to eat in the dining halls, but can also eat at any of the numerous locations around Harvard Square. Meals outside of provided options are not included in tuition.
What if I am enrolled in multiple weeks?
If you are enrolled in multiple weeks, you are eligible for a discount on your housing fee as a result. Please email academies@hsa.net and we will communicate with you accordingly.
What kind of residential staff will be in the dorms?
All students living on campus will be supervised by full time residential staff at a small student:staff ratio. In addition to the residential staff, we will have two on-site residential directors and a nurse in the same building as students.
Do I need to bring linens with me?
No, all linens will be provided and can be switched out for new, clean ones at any point during the duration of the program if needed.
What if I have more questions?
If you have more questions, we encourage you to email academies@hsa.net or sign up for a consultation call with one of our staff.
How do I apply for housing?
While filling out the regular application for our programs, you can simply select whether you would like to be a student who lives on campus or not. We do not differentiate applications based on housing preference, and all students who request housing are guaranteed housing.
What if I have already been accepted or have already enrolled?
Please email us at academies@hsa.net and request housing. If you have already been accepted or enrolled, we will add the housing fee onto your account. In your request, please include the student's name, student's email, courses, and weeks so we can easily find your student.
Am I required to stay on campus?
No, we do not require that students stay on campus. However, we think that it is greatly beneficial to the overall student and program experience. We would encourage all students to stay in on campus housing.
