Intro to Engineering

The Engineering Academy introduces students to the fundamentals of engineering design and problem-solving. Students will explore how science and mathematics explain everyday technologies and help engineers address real-world challenges. Through collaborative learning, students will practice breaking down problems, comparing possible solutions, and communicating their ideas. Guided by Harvard undergraduate mentors, students will discover how engineers balance creativity with practical considerations such as materials, cost, and performance. Throughout the course, students will strengthen their analytical thinking and explore how testing, feedback, and revision turn an initial idea into a more effective design.
