Intro to English & Humanities

The English & Humanities Academy introduces students to the study of literature, language, and human experience. Students will explore how texts reflect the cultures and historical moments that shape them, while learning to read closely and ask thoughtful questions. Through discussion and writing, students will practice interpreting ideas, developing arguments, and supporting their perspectives with evidence. Guided by Harvard undergraduate mentors, students will strengthen their ability to express themselves clearly and engage with unfamiliar viewpoints. Throughout the course, students will build confidence as readers, writers, and thinkers while exploring the connections between stories and society.
